There are a lot of people in the world that have similar problems, this is commonly due to the nickel in white gold or silver rings that is used to give the jewellery a more white and shiny effect. The best solution would be to purchase jewellery made in Platinum or Yellow Gold as they have no Nickel mixed in with them and are generally better for people with sensitive skin.
Frequently Asked Questions
For jewellery that is starting to look scratched or dated there is a very simple solution. You can send us your ring and for a small fee of $120AUD we can have the rings polished and plated again, giving them a shine that makes them look brand new, as if they had just come out of the box.
We strongly advise against wearing your jewellery while doing anything strenuous with your hands. At the end of the day, fine jewellery is made out of soft metals such as Gold and Platinum, these can scratch easily while coming into contact with any hard surface. You should take off your jewellery before showering, exercising, gardening, or anything else where you have to use your hands, this is the only true way of preserving your jewellery.
The most convenient way for you to find out your ring size is to get it measured by a local jeweller. You should be able to walk into a jewellery shop and ask for them to measure your ring size without a problem. There are other methods to figure it out and we would be happy to have a chat about it if you would like to get in contact with us through email.
Engravings are complimentary at Diamond Elite. We have laser engraving, therefore we can engrave most fonts and scripts found in Word programs. There are some symbols available as well. There is a maximum of 20 characters that can be engraved but this is limited on some rings due to space issues. Rings that have diamonds have to have a hole on the inside of the rings as to be able to clean the diamond. Therefore, an engraving can’t be placed on said hole.
